Transgender Health Senior Nurse

Full-Time | Remote | £31-38,000 depending on experience | Permanent contract

We are a values-driven trans health service seeking a compassionate, organised, and clinically experienced Transgender Healthcare Senior Nurse to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone with a nursing background who is confident liaising with medical consultants and reviewing blood test results as part of a supportive and affirming service for trans and non-binary patients.

About the Role:

You will be central to our patient care process, coordinating blood testing from start to finish, supporting both the administrative and clinical aspects. You’ll ensure appropriate blood panels are selected, manage logistics, and help maintain clinical oversight by reviewing results and identifying any issues for further medical review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end coordination of patient blood testing: panel selection, booking, logistics, and follow-up.

  • Review blood test results, identify any issues for further medical review, and liaise with our medical team.

  • Collaborate closely with consultants, our phlebotomy partners and laboratories to support smooth and safe clinical workflows.

  • Provide clear, compassionate communication with patients about appointments, instructions, and follow-ups.

  • Respond to patient queries and offer support via helpline, email, and webchat with empathy and professionalism.

  • Maintain accurate, secure patient records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in the quality and efficiency of our remote service.

About You:

  • Nurse or equivalent clinical background (essential).

  • Experience working with blood testing, including interpreting results and understanding common markers (essential).

  • Strong communication skills, both with clinical professionals and patients.

  • Comfortable with remote work and confident using digital systems (e.g. spreadsheets, patient portals, secure messaging platforms).

  • Deeply respectful and affirming of trans and non-binary identities, with a patient-centred approach to care.

  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.

We Offer:

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a trans-affirming healthcare space.

  • A supportive and collaborative environment within a small, tight-knit team.

  • Real opportunities to grow and take on additional responsibilities as the organisation expands.

  • Flexible working hours and a remote-first approach.

  • Ongoing training and support.

  • Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme

  • A values-led workplace that is inclusive, respectful, and focused on making a difference in people’s lives.
